On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Bowen Byram, BUF vs. VGK (38% rostered) - FanDuel $4,600
Byram’s assists streak is now at four games and we’re witnessing a potential breakout in the second half of the season. It’s been a long time coming for the highly-regarded Byram, and this is a good matchup against a team that has not played well at even strength and may be missing their top two-way player in captain Mark Stone. Byram’s ability to move the puck up the ice and the Sabres’ elite scoring talent makes him an ideal streaming option if you’re looking for points.
Ivan Provorov, CBJ vs. NSH (14% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800
Zach Werenski did not dress Monday, which put Provorov on the top power-play unit, notching an assist and playing 27:10 to lead all Jackets defensemen by a significant margin. Should Werenski sit out again, look for Provorov to fill the same role.
Logan Stanley, WPG vs. CHI (9% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800
Stanley remains a strong value play with increased minutes in Josh Morrissey and Neal Pionk’s absence. He’s taken over the power play and averaging well over 24 minutes per game, racking up two assists and 12 shots with four hits. The Hawks just traded one of their more dependable defensemen, Connor Murphy, to the Oilers yesterday.
