On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Patrick Kane, RW, DET at NYR (33% rostered) - FanDuel $5,700
Kane’s on a four-game points streak and scored at least a point in seven of his past eight games as the Wings desperately try to make the playoffs. The Rangers are expected to start backup Jonathan Quick, who has not played since March 18 and allowed six goals on 39 shots (.846 SP), and has just five wins in 22 starts with a .889 SP this season.
Pierre-Luc Dubois, C/LW, WSH vs. BUF (20% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800
The Sabres are expected to start Alex Lyon, who has struggled in his past two starts, Meanwhile, Dubois has gone on a scoring binge with a goal and five assists in his past two games. He’ll center L2 with Tom Wilson, and also PP1 with Wilson, Alex Ovechkin and Jakob Chychrun.
Egor Chinakhov, LW/RW, PIT vs. FLA (19% rostered) - FanDuel $4,700
Note Anthony Mantha (39% rostered) is also an option in this matchup as the Pens face a really beat-up Panthers team that’s missing half their regulars. Chinakhov plays PP2 while Mantha plays PP1, but at even strength Chinakhov is in a far better situation playing with Sidney Crosby. Chinakhov has scored three goals in his past two games and generally skates more minutes than Mantha.
Ryan Hartman, C/RW, MIN at OTT (12% rostered) - FanDuel $5,600
Potentially great matchup for Hartman with the Sens really struggling, especially in net where the quality of goaltending has been very poor. Centering L1 with Kirill Kaprizov on his left wing, Hartman is on a four-game points streak with a goal in each of his past three games. He won’t need power play TOI to get on the board.
Matt Savoie, C/RW, EDM vs. VGK (6% rostered) - FanDuel $4,300
Savoie has scored a goal in four of his past five games playing alongside Connor McDavid. He’s emerged as the Oilers’ top choice, beating out some pre-season candidates including Ike Howard and Andrew Mangiapane, and putting plenty of shots on net. The Knights are stingy when it comes to allowing scoring opportunities, but their weak goaltending still allows team to score plenty of goals.
Connor Brown, RW, NJ vs. MTL (5% rostered) - FanDuel $4,500
Riding on the coattails of a red-hot Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt, Brown has scored a point in each of the past three games. He’s playing a ton of minutes – at least 20 TOI in three of his past five games – and makes a great low-key streaming option in deep leagues. The lack PP TOI does sting, but Hughes has scored most of his points at even strength anyway.
