On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Charlie Coyle, C/RW, CBJ vs. SEA (45% rostered) - FanDuel $5,900
Coyle was held without a point last game though he led all forwards with 23:17 TOI, so stick with him enough and it’ll pay off. He’s been a key player for the Jackets, who now sit in a playoff position, and odds are he’ll play the same role against the Kraken. Coyle’s scoring at a career-best pace with 55 points in 68 games.
Anthony Mantha, LW/RW, PIT vs. WPG (43% rostered) - FanDuel $5,700
Tough matchup against Connor Hellebuyck but Mantha’s been red-hot with a six-game points streak en route to what may be a career season in the NHL. The Pens are coming off two days’ rest following a five-game road trip and should be plenty rested despite the 1 p.m. local time matinee start. The Pens are having no trouble scoring goals, averaging over five goals per game in their past three games.
Owen Tippett, LW/RW, PHI at SJ (40% rostered) - FanDuel $5,800
Tippett’s speed should be a very good weapon against the Sharks, who have allowed 17 goals in their past three games and starter Yaroslav Askarov’s status is still in doubt. With the Flyers possibly going with 11 forwards, Tippett will get even more ice time than usual even as one of their ice time leaders. He’s registered four goals and 26 shots in his past seven games.
Jimmy Snuggerud, RW, STL at VAN (25% rostered) - FanDuel $5,400
High-upside first-line winger playing against the league’s worst team? Hard to find a reason not to stream Snuggerud in this matchup, and while his hot streak has undeniably tapered, he’s still getting plenty of quality ice time and heads into this matchup with two assists in two games.
Ryan Hartman, C/RW, MIN vs. DAL (14% rostered) - FanDuel $5,300
The Wild’s lines are in flux without Joel Eriksson Ek and Kirill Kaprizov, and while Danila Yurov is slated to center L1 with Matt Boldy, Hartman’s the safer and better play. As a trusted veteran, look for Hartman to skate a lot of minutes – at least 18 minutes in three of his past four games – while centering L2 with Mats Zuccarello and PP1 with Boldy. That power play time with Boldy is very valuable, even in a very, very tough matchup against arguably the league’s best team.
Marco Rossi, C, VAN vs. STL (10% rostered) - FanDuel $5,000
Rossi has been on a tear with three multi-point efforts in his past four games, totalling three goals and six assists. Joining the top power play has been a boon for him, and playing regular minutes on a scoring line, unlike in Minnesota when he was yo-yo’d up and down the lineup. The talented playmaker’s hot streak is worth noting, scoring more points than another Canucks during that span.
