On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Pavel Zacha, C/LW, BOS vs. DAL (58% rostered)
Quite an extraordinary season from Zacha, who has scored multiple points in three straight games and one point shy of hitting 60 for the season. This is a tough matchup, but Zacha’s got such a hot hand despite limited minutes – he’s averaging about 15 TOI per game – that it’s hard not to make him a streaming target.
Anthony Mantha, LW/RW, PIT vs. DET (36% rostered) – FanDuel $5,400
A big game for a big power forward from Mantha last night against the Isles with two goals and an assist in an 8-3 win. Playing on a line with Rickard Rakell, who’s also been scoring a lot, this is a potential revenge game for the former Red Wing. He’s yet to score a goal in eight games against the team that drafted him, but with a hot hand that may change very quickly.
Dawson Mercer, C/RW, NJ at NYR (15% rostered) – FanDuel $4,600
The Devils’ top line with Mercer, Nico Hischier and Timo Meier has been very effective lately without much fanfare with all three players on points streaks. Mercer may be the laggard, but he’s still potted three assists in his past four games and played 21:10 against the Hawks in his previous game. They’re getting tons of deployment and scoring a lot.
Mackie Samoskevich, RW, FLA vs. OTT (2% rostered) – FanDuel $4,200
With nearly half the team’s regulars out of the lineup due to injury, Samoskevich is the main play driver and offensive engine on L2. With Jesper Boqvist at center and A.J. Greer on the other wing, it’s not a high-upside offensive line, but where Samoskevich can provide value is his role on PP1. He played 17:43 against the Rangers in their last game and scored the Panthers’ lone goal in a 3-1 loss.
