Friday's recommendations include a pair of Ducks and Blue Jackets.
Trevor Zegras, C, ANA vs. ARI (42% rostered)
Troy Terry, RW, ANA vs. ARI (38% rostered)
Zegras has scored two points in two games since returning from injury, playing on the top line with usual linemate Troy Terry with Leo Carlsson injured and Mason McTavish on L2 with Frank Vatrano and Ryan Strome. The Ducks are short on scoring talent and will be reliant on Zegras' line to generate offense. The drawback to Zegras is his boom-or-bust proposition; he's prone to getting benched but otherwise has very good career numbers (10 points in 13 games) against the Coyotes.
Terry's likely the safer of the two options, but his ceiling may not be as high. Terry's on a hot streak with eight points in eight games.
Josh Norris, C, OTT vs. NJ (36% rostered)
Norris is among the most favored streaming options in this space. In deeper 12 to 14-team leagues, Norris should be rostered for the rest of the season. He provides broad multi-category coverage with goals, shots and faceoff wins, and the Devils are weak on defense.
Adam Fantilli, C, CLB vs. TOR (24% rostered)
Yegor Chinakhov, RW, CLB vs. TOR (9% rostered)
Fantilli notched an assist in his previous game against the Leafs and also has a chance to extend his points streak to three games. In what could be a wide-open offensive game with both teams trading scoring chances, it puts Fantilli in a good position to score a few points as a top-six center. He's registered at least one shot on goal in every game in December.
Chinakhov's been on fire, scoring seven goals in eight games, including a goal in their first meeting on Dec. 14. If you're looking for goals, he's likely the one to target over the suddenly ice-cold Kirill Marchenko. (Streaky scorers are streaky).
Dawson MercerDawson Mercer, C/RW, NJ at OTT (23% rostered)
Mercer's scored five points in his past three games despite playing on L3. The big difference? Linemate Timo Meier has been scoring goals — finally — and Mercer's getting big minutes lately, playing at least 20 minutes in each of the past two games.
Matias Maccelli, LW, ARI at ANA (10% rostered)
Maccelli's two assists Wednesday against the Avs gives him four assists in his past four games. While his fantasy value consists mostly of assists, it's worth noting that his shot rate and shot volume has increased dramatically this season, averaging over two shots per game compared to less than one per game last season.
