In L.A., the Kings will turn to David Rittich a little more often as Cam Talbot struggles. The former Flames backup is off to a good start, but there's no denying the Kings need more help. Could they make a trade for another goalie, as they did last season? Could it be Elvis Merzlikins, the second Blue Jacket goalie they will acquire in as many seasons?
Antti Raanta has returned from his AHL stint and with Pyotr Kochetkov unavailable, Raanta is back in the crease much earlier than expected. He'll be forced to start the majority of the games since rookie Yaniv Perets doesn't seem to have the coaches' confidence quite yet.
Adin Hill missed his scheduled start last Wednesday against the Avalanche and the Knights may have to wait a little longer for his return. Third-string Jiri Patera was forced into action and subsequently suffered an injury, leaving the Knights with Logan Thompson and rookie Isaiah Saville.
