Nikolaj Ehlers is one of the most frustrating players in fantasy hockey. Despite excellent underlying numbers and showing flashes of elite skill on the ice, he just doesn't get the deployment and ice time he needs to be a top-tier scorer.
Kevin Fiala is going through a tough stretch and he's known to be a second-half player. Note, however, that he scored 31 points in the first 33 games of the season, reversing a career-long trend.

Holding Ehlers requires a lot of patience, and without the production, fantasy managers can look elsewhere for fantasy options. Fiala, meanwhile, has oodles of potential who can score at a point-per-game pace.
