Jason Chen and Michael Amato take note of the Wild's five-forward power play unit and the Red Wings going back to just one defenseman on their top unit.
The Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast hosts Jason Chen and Michael Amato wonder if the Wild and Red Wings are just temporarily experimenting with their power plays.
The Wild are going with five forwards on their top unit with Marco Rossi joining the top unit and Marcus Johansson running the point. Following Wednesday's trade that sent Calen Addison to the Sharks, the Wild seem even more intent on their current setup with Mats Zuccarello taking a few shifts. They went 1-for-4 against the Devils on Tuesday.
The Red Wings were very successful with Shayne Gotisbehere and Moritz Seider on the top unit, but have now dropped Seider to the second unit with Jake Walman. Lucas Raymond moves up to PP1 with Gostisbehere manning the point.
