Montour spent parts of four seasons with the Florida Panthers, helping them win the franchise's first Stanley Cup
It’s a championship summer for members of the 2024 Florida Panthers.
After claiming the first Stanley Cup victory in franchise history, members of the team have been living it up and enjoying everything that comes with being at the top of the hockey food chain.
Over the past few days, the process has begun of team members getting their special 24 hours with the Cup.

Over the weekend, a small group of Cats joined VP of Sports Performance Chris McClellan and the Stanley Cup on a fishing trip in the Florida Keys.
It was the first of what should be a fun summer of stories with the historic trophy.
Now, we also know when a key member of the Panthers (who has since signed elsewhere in free agency) will be celebrating in his hometown during his day with the Cup.
Defenseman Brandon Montour will be bringing the Stanley Cup to his home in Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario.
The community is hosting a celebration and parade on Wednesday, July 24 to honor Montour and enjoy the Stanley Cup.
“We are very proud of Brandon and his accomplishments,” Six Nations of the Grand River Chief Sherri-Lyn Hill said in a release. “This celebration is historic and we’re glad Brandon is sharing his day with Six Nations.”
There will be a parade and then festivities at the Six Nations Sports and Culture Memorial Arena in Ohsweken taking place between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
According to officials, the parade will go from the Ohsweken Speedway to the arena.
Montour spent parts of four seasons with the Panthers, arguably the best of his career, before signing a seven-year, $50 million contract with the Seattle Kraken on July 1.
He will make his return to Sunrise on Saturday, Feb. 22 when the Kraken visit the Panthers.
The reception he gets may not rival what happens in Six Nations next week, but Cats fans should still give him a rousing ovation when the day arrives.
