Panthers debuting Stanley Cup inspired center ice logo following team's first championship

Panthers debuting Stanley Cup inspired center ice logo following team's first championship

It must be late-August because the ice is blossoming in South Florida.

Earlier this week we got our first look at the Florida Panthers brand new, Stanley Cup inspired center ice logo that they’ll use all season at Amerant Bank Arena.

Now, you obviously can’t have a new center ice logo without ice to paint it on.

Before adding the snazzy new Cup bowl, the ABA ice crew had to get to work installing the first full sheet of the new season.

That process includes adding several thin layers of ice onto the concrete slab on the floor of the arena.

After the lines, circles and logos are painted onto the ice, additional layers are added on top.

Once the process was completed, the Panthers provided some cool, behind the scenes footage of the crew at work.
