David Dwork - Panthers game gets unique start time for Tuesday’s NHL Frozen Frenzy

It’s going to be a hockey frenzy on Tuesday, and everyone is invited.

The National Hockey League is going all in, pushing all its chips into the pot on Tuesday and unleashing all 32 of its teams on the world.

As part of the league’s Frozen Frenzy, the NHL has lined up 16 games on a completely staggered schedule, with 16 different start times.

The fun will begin at 6 p.m. when the Washington Capitals host the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the puck will drop on the final game at 11 p.m. in Las Vegas between the Flyers and Golden Knights.

Where the Florida Panthers fit into this fiesta of hockey fun is with a unique, slightly later-than-normal start time of 7:45 p.m.

Where that gets a bit more awkward is for fans of the Florida’s opponent, the San Jose Sharks, who will be tuning in to see their team at 4:45 p.m. local time.

The NHL Frozen Frenzy will be highlighted with a live, whip-around, studio show hosted by ESPN's John Buccigross and (former Panthers goaltender) Kevin Weekes.

    The show will air exclusively on ESPN+ from 7-8 p.m., and then on ESPN2 and ESPN+ from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
