Sam Bennett has been excellent for the Florida Panthers all post-season, and he has now made NHL history because of it.
In Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers, Bennett scored his 12th road goal of this post-season. With this, Bennett has now scored the most road goals in one playoff, as reported by Sportsnet Stats.
Winnipeg Jets star Mark Scheifele previously held the record with his 11 road playoff goals back during the 2018 post-season. However, Bennett has now passed him and has his name in the NHL record book because of it.
Bennett now has 13 goals and 19 points in 19 playoff games for the Panthers this post-season. The 6-foot-1 forward has undoubtedly been stepping up big time for the Panthers, and it will be fascinating to see if he can stay hot from here.
