Parade will take place on Sunday and pass by the iconic Elbo Room

    Who’s ready for a parade?

The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup Champions and the celebration is coming to Fort Lauderdale.

Florida defeated the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 on Monday night to claim the first championship in franchise history.

Now the team will hold a parade along A1A this weekend.

With the NHL Awards and NHL Draft coming up this Thursday through Saturday in Las Vegas, the Panthers parade would need to wait a few days.

Reasons being, the Stanley Cup will be at both events, Sergei Bobrovsky will be at NHL Awards because he is a finalist for the Vezina Trophy, and the Panthers front office will be at the NHL Draft.

So fans will get a few days to let the amazingness of that Stanley Cup Final sink in a little bit more.

The Panthers championship parade will take place on Sunday starting at 11 a.m.

It will begin along Riomar Street and travel south along A1A, past Elbo Room and down to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, at Southeast 5th Street across from the Hotel Maren.

That’s where a stage will be set up and a rally will be held at the conclusion of the parade.

Preparations were already underway on Tuesday as barricades and tents began going up along the parade route.

Additional details will be released over the next few days, but that’s the gist of it.

Preparations are already underway for the big celebration.

    We’ll see you there!
