It’s been an incredible run for the Florida Panthers.
Presidents’ Trophy one year, a Stanley Cup Final appearance the next.
But now, after some major accomplishments that were followed by crushing playoff defeats, the Panthers have slayed the ultimate dragon.
On Monday night at Amerant Bank Arena, Florida defeated the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final to win the first championship in franchise history.
From the start of the season through the end of the Cup Final, one of the constants has been The Hockey Show going along for the ride.
Hosts Roy Bellamy and David Dwork have followed the Panthers to Toronto, Tampa Bay, New York City and Edmonton over the past few months, covering every game while living and dying with Florida along their path.
After Game 7, The Hockey Show filmed one final postgame show of the season. From the ice in Sunrise, with the Stanley Cup being passed around by the Panthers behind them.
It was a hell of an ending to one incredible season.
