Redemption Rewind: Panthers victory in Stanley Cup Final was emotional roller coaster
Florida did something very difficult, both winning and losing three straight games in the same series
The 2024 Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers was one for the ages.
It’s probably still a bit too soon for us to really start to evaluate it in comparison to the many that came before it.
Still, there have been many over the past several weeks who have called it one of the best Stanley Cup Finals of all time.
The star power.
The drama.
The intrigue.
You’d be hard pressed to find a seven-game series that wasn’t at least a little bit great, but this one was truly something else.
First there was Florida taking a 3-0 series lead only to see the Oilers come roaring back and win three straight games, threatening the first reverse sweep in the Final in over 80 years.
Ultimately it gave us an incredible series that ended with the Panthers closing out Edmonton with a 2-1 victory on home ice in Game 7.
Take a deep breath, have a seat and great ready.
