Reinhart will take the mound ahead of the Marlins-Dodgers game on Setp. 6

The Miami Marlins are hosting our favorite local hockey team for a special Florida Panthers night next week to celebrate the club's 30th anniversary season.
Both the Marlins and the Panthers played their first respective seasons in 1993, with the Fish debuting at old (and always, IMO) Joe Robbie Stadium and the Panthers taking the ice for the first time at the now-demolished Miami Arena.
The Marlins have since moved to loanDepot park in Little Havana and have a pair of World Series Championship banners hanging in left field.
The Panthers, meanwhile, are still waiting to celebrate their first championship, but they sure came close earlier this year, reaching the Stanley Cup Final for only the second time in team history.
Unlike in 1996, this time the Cats are built to sustain their success with a roster full of young and talented players led by stars Sasha Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk, both of whom are under contract for the next seven years.
Another one of those key players is 27-year-old Sam Reinhart, who has racked up 64 goals and 85 points during his first two seasons with the Panthers.

Reinhart is entering the final year of the three-year extension he signed with Florida after being acquired back in 2021 and could be looking for a decent raise from the $6.5 million AAV (average annual value) on his current deal.
Reinhart has also become an integral part of Florida's power play, scoring 16 times, both last season and the year before, when the Cats were on the man advantage.
His talent when it comes to shooting a hockey puck is undeniable.
On Wednesday, however, he'll be showing off a different set of skills.
Reinhart will take the pitcher's mound at loanDepot park and throw out the first pitch before the Marlins host the Los Angeles Dodgers on Florida Panthers Night.
Perhaps Reinhart will get some first pitch tips from someone who's done it before.
It was just a few weeks ago when Panthers General Manager Bill Zito was asked to throw out the first pitch before a Milwaukee Brewers game.
Believe it or not, before becoming a hockey agent and eventually working in NHL front offices, Zito was a bat boy on the Brewers 1982 team that reached the World Series.
As for Reinhart's baseball prowess, we'll just have to wait and see.
