Florida had a chance to sweep the Lightning but instead got dropped 6-3
The Florida Panthers were primed to sweep their cross-state rivals right out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
They arrived at Amalie Arena on Saturday holding a 3-0 series lead on the Tampa Bay Lightning, looking to achieve something only done once before in franchise history.
Alas, the four-game sweep was not in the cards for Florida.

Tampa Bay jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead, sending their home fans desperate for something positive to cheer for into a frenzy.
The Panthers battled back during a strong second period, getting back within a goal of the Lightning heading into the final frame, but the Bolts proved to be too much for Florida to handle.
The Hockey Show’s Roy Bellamy and David Dwork traveled up to Tampa for the game and for some fun with fans.
Their full trip experience will be seen on The Dan LeBatard Show with Stugotz on Monday.
