The hockey world is in mourning following the sudden and tragic death of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.

According to authorities, the two brothers were tragically killed in a bicycling accident Thursday night in South Jersey.

A man who is being investigated for driving under the influence struck them while they were riding in a bike lane at approximately 8:30 p.m., police said.

Reports of the heartbreaking news began to circulate on social media late Thursday night. By Friday morning, the horrible tragedy had been confirmed.

The Gaudreau family was back home in New Jersey for the wedding of Johnny’s sister, Katie.

    It’s beyond unimaginable.
