Former Florida Panthers speedster Anthony Duclair is still making an impact in the region he once called home.
Duclair held his second annual youth development camp at the Ice Den in Coral Springs this week.
Dozens of attendees took part in the on-ice sessions, ranging in age from seven to 15.

“I started this foundation two years ago,” Duclair told Local 10 News’ Samiar Nefzi on Wednesday. “The mission was to bring minorities and everyone together and give them an opportunity to play on the ice.”
Duclair spent three seasons with the Panthers from 2020 to 2023 and still calls South Florida his second home.
He was a fan favorite during his time with the Cats thanks to his speedy, offensively exciting game and his friendly, outgoing personality with basically everyone he interacted with.
In addition to their youth hockey camps, the Duclair Foundation also held a groundbreaking earlier this year for an outdoor, synthetic ice surface being built outside Boyd H. Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes.
“I’m just want to take everything I learned when I was a kid and try to teach it down,” said Duclair.
After finishing last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Duclair will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
He scored 24 goals and logged 42 points in 73 games between the Lightning and San Jose Sharks last season.
