    ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (37-24-5) is back in action tonight to face the St. Louis Blues (31-28-7) for a big game. The Blues are currently eight points behind the Wild for the first wildcard spot in the West. 

    They are two points behind the Calgary Flames for the last wildcard spot in the West, as well. A win tonight and the Blues could be tied for a playoff spot. 

    The Wild are coming off an overtime loss to the New York Rangers and are 4-5-1 in their last ten games. The Blues are coming off a loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins and are 6-2-2 in their last ten games. 

    Despite started the other three games against the Wild this year, Jordan Binnington will be the backup tonight to Joel Hofer. 

    Hofer, 24, will make his first start against the Wild in his career. He is 11-7-3 this season with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage. 

    Filip Gustavsson will start again for the Wild tonight as he is making his fourth straight start. There will be no line changes for the Wild tonight.
