Recently Acquired Forward Will Make Season Debut Today

    Wild Trade For Gustav Nyquist

ST. PAUL - Following the trade on Saturday, Gustav Nyquist will make his season debut with the Wild today against the Boston Bruins.

Nyquist, 35, is in his second stint with the Wild. He was acquired by the team at the 2023 NHL trade deadline and has now been acquired two years later at the 2025 trade deadline.

In 57 games this season, Nyquist has nine goals and 21 points. He is a minus-20 as well. He played three regular-season games with the Wild during 2023 and recorded one goal and five points.

In six playoff games with the Wild that year, Nyquist recorded five assists. He will wear number 41 for the Wild. He is the first Wild player to wear 41 since Luke Johnson and is the sixth ever to wear it.
