Former Wild defenseman Carson Soucy was suspended for one game for his cross-check on Connor McDavid.

Former Wild defenseman Carson Soucy was suspended for game four for his cross-check on Connor McDavid that happened during game three.

After the final buzzer in game three, McDavid slashed Soucy's leg. As he did that, Nikita Zadorov gave McDavid a shot in the back which made him fall.

As McDavid was falling, Soucy cross-checked McDavid and clipped him in the neck. Zadorov was fined and Soucy has been suspended for one game.

Soucy, 29, was drafted by the Wild with the 137th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft. He played four years for Minnesota Duluth and eventually played for the Wild for three seasons before he was taken by the Seattle Kraken in the Expansion Draft.

Now Soucy is in his first season with the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks have a 2-1 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers and will play game four tonight, without Soucy in the lineup.
