David Spacek continues to produce at World Championships

Wild prospect David Spacek continues to produce for Team Czechia at the World Championships tournament.

How the Wild should approach the NHL Draft

Wild prospect David Spacek is the youngest player on Team Czechia at the 2024 IIHF Men's World Championships.

He is playing every game as Czechia's seventh defenseman but he has continued to produce and has been putting up points at big times in big games.

Spacek, 21, has five assists in eight games for Czechia so far and has three assists in his last two games. He recorded an assist on Pavel Zacha's goal against USA in the Quarterfinals. It was the only goal scored in the game.

The Wild defenseman helped push Czechia past John Hynes and Matt Boldy. Czechia eliminated Team USA from the tournament after their win.

The 6-foot defenseman played in 61 games for the Iowa Wild of the AHL last season where he recorded three goals and 12 points. He now is leading Czechia to the Semi-Finals. They face Sweden tomorrow.

Sweden has five Wild players on their roster. Joel Eriksson Ek, Marcus Johansson, Jonas Brodin, Filip Gustavsson, and Jesper Wallstedt.
