
Two former Wild franchise cornerstones squared off against each other in the second round of the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Dallas Stars just beat the Colorado Avalanche in six games after their double overtime win last night in Colorado. Former Wild defenseman Ryan Suter will be the one who is moving on.
Suter, 39, is in his third season with the Dallas Stars. He has played in all 82 games in the three years he's been with the Stars. He currently has one goal and three points in 13 playoff games for the Stars.
The Madison, Wisconsin, native played in 656 games across nine seasons in Minnesota. He recorded 55 goals, 314 assists, and 369 points. He is the Franchise leader in assists for defenseman and is second in points behind Jared Spurgeon.
Parise, 39, is in his first season with the Colorado Avalanche. He signed with the team mid-season and played in 11 playoff games for the Avalanche where he recorded two goals and three points.
The Minnesota native played in 558 games across nine seasons in Minnesota. He recorded 199 goals, 201 assists, and 400 points in a Wild sweater. He ranks third all-time in goals and first in power-play goals in Wild history.
