The Minnesota Wild have plenty of representatives for the upcoming 4 Nations Tournament in February. There also are a few former Wild players in the tournament.
Former Wild forward Mikael Granlund will represent Team Finland along with Erik Haula, another former Wild forward. Granlund was named an assistant captain for the upcoming tournament.
Granlund, 32, has 15 goals, 29 assists, and 44 points in 51 games this year with the San Jose Sharks. He had 12 goals and 60 points in 68 games last year for the Sharks and is in the final year of his contract.
In his seven seasons with the Wild, Granlund recorded 93 goals, 224 assists, and 317 points in 461 games. He was later traded to the Nashville Predators for Kevin Fiala where he played five seasons in Nashville.
He has spent the last two years in San Jose after making a short pitstop with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
