Former Wild forward Zach Parise's career has come to an end

After being eliminated by the Dallas Stars in the playoffs, the former Wild forward's career has come to an end.

How the Wild should approach the NHL Draft

Zach Parise confirmed during the year that this would be his final season in the NHL. His one last go at the Stanley Cup has now come to an end.

The Dallas Stars have eliminated the Colorado Avalanche in six games. Matt Duchene, the former Avalanche, scored the double overtime goal to end the series.

Parise, 39, played in 558 games across nine seasons in Minnesota. He recorded 199 goals, 201 assists, and 400 points in a Wild sweater. He ranks third all-time in goals and first in power-play goals in Wild history.

He confirmed ealier that this will be his last season in the NHL. Parise will now finish with 39 goals and 83 points in 122 career playoff games. He played in 1,254 regular season games where he recorded 434 goals, 455 assists, 889 points, and 125 power-play goals in 19 seasons.

Parise played seven seasons with the New Jersey Devils, nine with Minnesota, two with the New York Islanders, and one with Colorado.

What an incredible career for Parise though. He will finish as the leader for most goals scored in the NHL by a Minnesota born player.
