My name is Dylan Loucks and I am the new Site Admin and author of the Minnesota Wild for The Hockey News.
I have been covering Minnesota Golden Gopher Men's Hockey for the last two years for Gopherhole.com and will be transitioning into covering Wild hockey. I have written about the Wild for two years for a publication under Fansided called Gone Puck Wild where I worked with Aaron Heckmann who will also work alongside me for The Hockey News.
What To Expect
Since I started writing four years ago I have incorporated hockey analytics as a form of reporting and will continue to do that here. Coverage of the team and analytics will be broken down so everyone can understand what we are talking about. I believe hockey analytics can bring a different perspective and way of thinking to the normal art of reporting.
The structure we hope to provide you will stay consistent. Throughout the offseason, we will push out a post a day or at least four-five a week. When the season starts back up again we will have upwards of three posts a day.
The posts will range from many different things. Like how the morning skate looked and if there is anything worth noting, or line charts for the game. We will also have a game preview post and a postgame article as well.
Both Aaron and I are excited to get going!
