Good news for the Wild, Jared Spurgeon was back on the ice today skating with Andy Ness, for his first practice since he got hurt in a preseason game against Chicago on October 5th.
The Wild are down three players, including Spurgeon, already and have only played three games this year. They lost Matt Boldy to an upper-body injury after he got hit by Morgan Rielly in Toronto.
Minnesota also lost Alex Goligoski on Monday after getting hurt in practice. Goligoski doesn't have a set date he will return but he did not play yesterday against the Montreal Canadiens.
Although Spurgeon practicing today doesn't mean he will play tomorrow, it is still great news for the Wild to have their captain back on the ice practicing.
The Wild are back home for three straight games. They play the Los Angeles Kings tomorrow at 7:00 p.m., the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday the 21st at 7:00 p.m., and the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday the 24th at 8:00 p.m. before a three-game road trip.
