Wild forward Mats Zuccarello has invested in a share of Soccer Club Burton Albion FC among many others.

Originally reported by The Hockey News' International page, Mats Zuccarello was rumored to have invested in a share of a soccer club called Burton Albion FC.

Swedish website SportBladet.se reported that Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson has become part-owner of English third-tier soccer club Burton Albion FC.

Zuccarello, 36, was not mentioned in an interview with Karlsson by reporter Per Bjurman, but his name is shown along with Karlsson’s on the Burton Albion website in a long list of individuals who have a significant interest.

But now reported by VG, a Norwegian website, it has been confirmed that the Wild forward is now a part owner in Burton Albion FC. He is one of many to have joined the ownership group of the English Football Club.
