    Wild prospect Aron Kiviharju steps up, leading Team Finland as captain in the upcoming 2026 IIHF World Junior Championships.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. —  The Minnesota Wild is on break during the holidays but return to action on Saturday. Grand Casino Arena, the home of the Wild, is still in use.

    The 2026 IIHF World Junior Championships are being played from the 26th to January 5th.

    Minnesota has two prospects playing in the tournament. Aron Kiviharju is on Team Finland and Adam Benak is on Team Czechia. 

    Kiviharju, 19, was drafted with the 122nd pick in the fourth round of the 2024 NHL Draft. He is also the captain for Team Finland for the tournament.
