The Minnesota Wild (41-28-6) is on the road tonight against the New York Rangers (35-32-7) for a 6:00 game. The Rangers signed their top prospect Gabe Perreault a few days ago after his college career ended.

Perreault, 19, was the Rangers' 23rd overall pick from the 2023 NHL Draft. He was taken two picks after the Wild took Charlie Stramel.

After two years at Boston College, Perreault is turning pro with the Rangers. Stramel is heading back to Michigan State next year for his fourth season in the NCAA.

In his two seasons at Boston College, Perreault recorded 35 goals, 73 assists, and 108 points in just 73 games. In 104 NCAA games, Stramel has 17 goals, 30 assists, and 47 points.

Nonetheless, Perreault will make his NHL debut against the Wild tonight.
