Ryan Hartman's five goal and seven point week, earns him NHL's third star of the week.

The NHL announced their three stars of the week and Wild center, Ryan Hartman, earned the third star of the week.

The Wild played four games during the past week and went 1-2-1 with their only win coming at home in a 7-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Hartman notched five points that game on three goals.

The Wild traveled to Philadelphia where they lost 6-2 in a game where Hartman didn't record a point but the 6-foot center notched a goal in each of the next two games to finish the week with five goals and seven points.

Hartman, 29, has six goals and nine points in nine games this year for the 3-4-2 Minnesota Wild and has been one of their best players to start the season.

According to Evolving hockey, Hartman ranks second on the team in evolving offense, second among forwards in goals above replacement and wins above replacement, and is third in individual expected goals.

New Jersey's Tyler Toffoli notched six goals and seven points in four games, which included a goal against the Wild and was named the first star of the week. Tampa's Jonas Johansson picked up two shutouts and 55 saves during the week going 2-0-0 and was named the second star. Lastly, Hartman was named third star of the week with five goals and seven points, including a hat trick, in four games.

Fresh off a three-year contract extension, Hartman has been showing his value early this season for the Wild and has been one of the lone bright spots on this Wild team.
