Danila Yurov is a breakout candidate to watch next season.
Minnesota Wild forward Danila Yurov played his rookie season with the Central Division club in 2025-26, and it is fair to say that it was a successful year for the 2022 first-round pick. In 73 games, the 6-foot-1 forward posted 12 goals, 15 assists, and 27 points. With numbers like these, he gave Minnesota decent secondary offensive production in his first season with the NHL club.
However, now that Yurov has a year of NHL experience on his resume, it would not be surprising if the young forward takes a big step forward with his development next season. The potential for him to emerge as a key offensive contributor for the Wild is there, and this is especially so if he earns himself a key role in Minnesota's lineup.
Yurov showed plenty of promise last season with the Wild, so it is hard not to feel optimistic about his future with the club. If he can take that next step and emerge as a legitimate top-six forward, it would be huge for a Wild club that will be looking to go on a run next season.
It will be interesting to see what kind of season Yurov has from here, but he is a prime breakout candidate to watch.
