Farjestad BK Karlstad's season has officially come to an end after they lost in the SHL playoffs. This opened the door for the idea of Wild prospect Liam Ohgren to come over to the United States.

According to the AHL, Ohgren has now been listed on the Iowa Wild's roster earlier today.

In 26 games this season for Farjestad, Ohgren recorded 12 goals and 19 points. He was Sweden's captain for the 2024 World Junior team where he recorded two assists in seven games.

Ohgren, 20, was drafted by the Wild with the 19th pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. The Wild acquired that pick from the Los Angeles Kings along with Brock Faber in exchange for Kevin Fiala.

As Michael Russo of the Athletic reported, this should also get him prepped for the World Championships with Sweden.
