ST. PAUL - Marcus Foligno left the Wild's last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins with an injury and did not practice for the Wild today. The club announced earlier that forward Adam Beckman has been recalled from the Iowa Wild.
Beckman, 22, has ten goals and 20 points in 39 games in AHL Iowa this season. He had 24 goals and 36 points in 53 games during the 2022-23 campaign. Beckman, who added assistant captain duties this season, ranks third in shots (88), fourth in goals, and fifth in points.
The young forward was called up at the start of the week when the club placed forward Pat Maroon on the injured reserve but Beckman did not play against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday. The Wild then sent Beckman back down to the AHL before the Penguins game but have now recalled him.
Unfortunately for Beckman, it looks like Connor Dewar will slide back into the lineup tomorrow against the Vegas Golden Knights following his injury. Beckman wasn't at practice today though so it was hard to tell if he will play or not.
The Wild selected Beckman in the third round (75th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft. He wears sweater No. 11 with Minnesota.
