The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Jake Lucchini from the Iowa Wild.

One of the Wild's top prospects is having an insane season in the KHL.

The Minnesota Wild announced today that they have recalled forward Jake Lucchini from the Iowa Wild.

Previously the Wild sent Lucchini and Jesper Wallstedt back down to the Iowa Wild after they finished their game against the Anaheim Ducks on January 27th, to play in a couple of AHL games before the AHL All-Star break.

Now the Wild have recalled Lucchini from Iowa to the NHL. Since Lucchini was sent down, the 6-foot forward recorded one assist in two games.

Lucchini, 28, has 11 goals and 23 points in 30 AHL games this season for the Iowa Wild and has played in eight NHL games for the Wild and has zero points with an average ice time of 8:21.

Before the NHL All-Star break the Wild had a couple of injuries to their forwards. Connor Dewar, Vinni Lettieri, and Adam Raska were all on the Injured Reserve list and Pat Maroon sustained an injury after the Ducks game.

As of now, the three forwards who were on the IR are still listed on the Injured reserve list. We will find out more about who is still hurt after the Wild's 11:00 a.m. practice today. It is expected that Maroon will likely go on the IR as well.
