The Minnesota Wild have recalled two forwards from the Iowa Wild ahead of their next road trip.
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (17-4-4) are set to embark on a three-game road trip starting this weekend. They have made a roster move before the trip.
On Wednesday the Wild sent forward Liam Ohgren and goaltender Jepser Wallstedt back down to the American Hockey League (AHL).
The Wild have recalled veteran center Travis Boyd and power-forward Reese Johnson from the AHL.
Boyd, 31, has played in two games with the Wild this season. He has one hit and two blocked shots with Minnesota and has two goals and 11 points in 13 games in Iowa.
Johnson, 26, has three goals and nine points in 18 games with the Iowa Wild this year. He had two goals, five points, 40 penalty minutes and 109 hits in 42 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season.
He has seven goals, ten assists, 17 points, 103 penalty minutes and 450 hits in 141 career NHL games with Chicago.
