The Minnesota Wild have traded forwards Marat Khusnutdinov and Jakub Lauko to the Boston Bruins for Justin Brazeau.
Khusnutdinov, 22, was recently sent down by the Wild for what was a roster and cap-related move. His $925,000 a season freed up the Wild some space for down the road moves.
And for Gustav Nyquist, who the acquired from the Nashville Predators a few days ago.
In the trade, Bruins' forward Justin Brazeau looks to be coming to Minnesota in the deal. He is a big right-shot forward, which is a strong need of the Wild's.
The Wild are also trading a 2026 sixth-round pick in the deal which was originally acquired from Boston for Pat Maroon.
The 6-foot-6 forward has ten goals, ten assists, and 89 hits in 57 games for Boston this season.
Lauko, 24, has had many injuries this season and has been held out of the lineup for multiple games on three different stints. It is safe to say the Wild were a bit worried about his injuries ahead.
The Wild have now freed up $938,000 following the trade of Lauko and Khusnutdinov for Brazeau.
