The Wild just got back to the cities after their team bonding trip to Duluth Minnesota which included some golf at one of the nicest courses in Minnesota, Northland Country Club. They also had a practice at Amsoil Arena where the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs play.

Minnesota has also now announced that goaltender Jesper Wallstedt has been sent to Iowa.

Wallstedt, 20, played in one preseason game with the Wild were he recorded 40 saves in the 4-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

This move cuts the roster down to two goalies rather than three. Zane Mclntyre was sent down right before the team bonding trip as well. Both of them are expected to be the Iowa Wild's goaltending tandem.

The Wild are currently down to 30 players on their training camp roster and are expected to make more cuts soon.

Minnesota goes on the road to face the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 5th and are expected to take their projected opening night lineup with before they return home to host the Dallas Stars on Oct. 7th.

This means the Wild will have to make a decison on forwards Sammy Walker, Vinni Lettieri, Nic Petan and Jujhar Khaira, along with defensemen Daemon Hunt and Dakota Mermis soon.

Lettieri, Petan, Khaira, and Mermis would need to clear waivers in order to be sent to the AHL. Walker can be sent down withought waivers.
