ST. PAUL, Minn - Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin confirmed on Tuesday that the club team will have a few players in the 2025 Men's World Championships.
Zeev Buium will represent Team USA at the tournament. Brock Faber and Matt Boldy will take this year off. Faber did not go last year due to an injury but Boldy did go last year and was one of the best players in the whole tournament.
Jonas Brodin and Marcus Johansson will represent Team Sweden at the tournament. They both were in it last year with Joel Eriksson Ek. But Eriksson Ek will be having surgery and will not go this year.
Jared Spurgeon and Marc-Andre Fleury will represent Team Canada this year. Neither of them played last year. It will be Fleury's first-ever World Championship.
Guerin will also be going to the tournament for USA. Iowa Wild goaltender and Wild prospect Samuel Hlavaj will join Team Slovakia again. He was very good last year for the team.
David Spacek will also join Team Czechia this year. He was on the team last year and took a huge step. He will join former Wild forward Jakub Lauko.
