
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (2-2-0) have trimmed their roster down to 29 players before their game against the Chicago Blackhawks (0-2-1) at the Xcel Energy Center.
They first placed forwards Devin Shore, Travis Boyd, and Brendan Gaunce on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the American Hockey League (AHL). All three have cleared waivers and will report to Iowa.
Reese Johnson practiced this morning with the Wild but was placed on waivers at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Minnesota also sent their top prospect Riley Heidt back to the Western Hockey League with the Prince George Cougars. The Wild sent defensemen Ryan O'Rourke, David Spacek, and Carson Lambos, forward Caeden Bankier, and goaltender Samuel Hlavaj to the AHL with the Iowa Wild as well.
The Wild's roster is now down to 29 players.
