Cody Glass records the first hat trick of his career and connects with the fans.

Cody Glass recorded his first hat trick in the NHL in the 5-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche and it was a massive one. It helped the Nashville Predators extend their win streak to eight games and pushed them one step closer to solidifying a spot in the playoffs this season.
Glass was of course named the first star of the game and came out for his interview after the second and third stars made their appearance. He spoke with Kara Hammer and received a near two minute standing ovation from the fans that made him emotional.
The young forward gave praise back to the fans saying, "It's amazing what they do. They're the reason we play and the reason we want to win. Everyone wanted it more than I did (speaking about the hat trick) and I'm very thankful to be here with my teammates and be on an eight-game win streak."
Glass has definitely been through a lot of adversity this season dealing with multiple injuries and not being in the lineup every night, but this game is huge for his confidence. He had only scored two goals in his first 33 games of the season before scoring three in this game. The 24-year-old is up to 10 points in 34 games and is hopefully on his way back to the way he performed last season. He is a key piece in what the Predators are building.
