The New Jersey Devils announced that veteran winger Ondrej Palat will miss tonight's game versus the Washington Capitals (lower body). He joins Dougie Hamilton (out indefinitely), Tomas Nosek (out indefinitely), and Timo Meier (mid-body injury).

Earlier today, head coach Lindy Ruff told attending media members that he had a few forwards dealing with issues, which led to the club recalling Graeme Clarke from the Utica Comets (American Hockey League) for extra insurance.

Clarke's parents made the trip from Ottawa to Washington, D.C., in case their son made his NHL debut. The 22-year-old did not take line rushes during warmups and will officially be a healthy scratch versus the Capitals.
