New Jersey has an all-time record of 47-55-9-5 versus Dallas

The New Jersey Devils will conclude their 10th back-to-back set Saturday night when they host the Dallas Stars at Prudential Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. This season, the club has a record of 1-7-1 in the second game of a back-to-back. 

Saturday night the Devils will honor three-time Stanley Cup champion, and assistant coach, Sergei Brylin as the franchise's second Ring of Honor inductee. Fans in attendance are asked to be in their seats by 6:45 P.M. The ceremony will begin at 7:05 P.M. Brylin ranks 10th all-time in franchise history with 765 career regular-season games played and 10th all-time in franchise history with 109 career playoff games played.

Devils vs. Stars - Prudential Center

The Devils have earned a 1-1-0 record versus the Stars last season. In their last meeting, New Jersey earned a 3-2 overtime victory. Jack Hughes scored twice and Vitek Vanecek made 33 saves. Timo Meier has 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 14 games against tonight's opponent. 

The Stars are third in the Central Division (26-13-5). They are coming off a 5-1 loss to the. Philadelphia Flyers. Goaltender Jake Oettinger made 38 saves on 43 shots. Tyler Seguin scored Dallas' lone goal. 

  • New Jersey's injury list includes Dougie Hamilton (out indefinitely), Tomas Nosek (out indefinitely), Jonas Siegenthaler (broken foot), Ondrej Palat (lower body), Jack Hughes (upper body), and Brendan Smith (sprained knee).
  • Dallas' injury list includes Miro Heiskanen (lower body).
  • The Devils have three skaters entering tonight's game on respective point streaks: Alexander Holtz (two games), Nico Hischier (two games), and Simon Nemec (two games). 
  • The Stars have won three consecutive games (3-0-0) in New Jersey, outscoring the Devils 12-4.
  • Roope Hintz has scored a goal in each of his last two games against New Jersey. He has earned a total of six points (three goals, three assists) in seven career games, including three points (two goals, one assist) in three road games.
  • Alexander Holtz owns goals in consecutive games for the second time this season. He has recorded four goals in his last seven games.
  • Stars' goaltender Scott Wedgewood was originally selected by the Devils in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, 84th overall. He is expected to start and has a record of 2-0-0 against New Jersey.  
  • Saturday night will be the first time Colin Miller will face his former team. He was traded by the Stars to the Devils in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick on July 1, 2023.
