New Jersey has an all-time record of 3-0-2 against Seattle.

The New Jersey Devils will start a busy week by hosting the Seattle Kraken on Monday night at Prudential Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. The team held a morning skate at 10:30 A.M.

Goaltender Vitek Vanecek will not be available to the team tonight. Head coach Lindy Ruff said Vanecek has been sick the past two days and is dealing with a lower-body injury. The club will have to recall a goalie from the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.

Devils vs. Kraken - Prudential Center

The Devils have earned a 1-0-0 record against the Kraken this season. In their last meeting, New Jersey defeated Seattle by a score of 2-1 on Dec. 7, 2023, at Climate Pledge Arena. Ondrej Palat and Simon Nemec scored, while Akira Schmid made 37 saves on 38 shots.

The Kraken are sixth in the Pacific Division (21-20-10). They are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night. Vince Dunn earned two points, while Tomas Tatar scored his seventh goal of the season.

  • Nathan Bastian was claimed by Seattle from New Jersey in the Expansion Draft on Jul. 21, 2021. He was claimed off waivers by the Devils from the Kraken on Nov. 25, 2021.
  • Defenseman Santeri Hatakka is coming off a game where he recorded a career-high three shots on goal while logging a career-high four blocked shots in a game.
  • Ex-Devil Tomas Tatar was traded to the Kraken by the Colorado Avalanche for a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft on Dec. 15, 2023.
