Back in May, the New Jersey Devils signed forward Arseny Gritsyuk to a one-year, entry-level contract for the 2025-26 campaign. With the 24-year-old forward being one of the club’s most promising prospects, there is naturally a lot of excitement about surrounding him entering the 2025-26 season.

Gritsyuk has looked solid during the preseason, as he has been showing off his offensive potential. This was once again the case during the Devils’ Sep. 26 preseason contest against the New York Islanders, as he made a big impact.

At the 12:21 mark of the third period, Gritsyuk scored the Devils’ game-winning goal, and it was a nice one.

After initially getting stopped on the breakaway by Islanders star goalie Ilya Sorokin, Gritsyuk quickly picked up the rebound and fired it home.

Gritsyuk’s offensive skill is a big reason why many are optimistic about his future in the NHL, and he showed it off on this play. The Devils will now be hoping that the youngster can carry this kind of play over to the regular season from here.
