On Thursday afternoon, the New Jersey Devils announced they re-signed Nathan Légaré to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 24-year-old was traded to New Jersey by the Montreal Canadiens for Arnaud Durandeau on March 11, 2024, and concluded his first season with the Devils organization.
He played 69 games with New Jersey’s AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets, and three games at the NHL level with the Devils. With the Comets, he set a career-high in goals (17) and points (25).
The 6’0”, 20-pound winger made his NHL debut on December 2, 2024, at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers in front of family and friends.
Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round in the 2019 NHL Draft, Légaré has appeared in 248 AHL games between the Comets, Laval Rocket, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
