This Devils star is starting to heat up.
The New Jersey Devils will face off against the Buffalo Sabres on Feb. 2. New Jersey's goal will be to stay hot after defeating the Philadelphia Flyers by a 5-0 score in their last contest.
Devils forward Timo Meier played a role in the win, as the 6-foot-1 winger recorded two assists in the contest. With this, he extended his point streak to four games, where he has six points over that span.

Seeing Meier starting to heat back up again is encouraging for the Devils. In his previous nine games before his current hot streak, he had just three points to go along with a minus-2 rating. Now, the 28-year-old forward is producing the kind of offense he is known for again.
With his ongoing hot stretch of play, Meier now has 15 goals, 37 points, and a plus-13 rating in 52 games. It will be intriguing to see if he can have another solid performance against the Sabres from here.
