Former New Jersey Devils forward Jimmy Vesey is once again on the move. The New York Rangers have traded the former Devil, Ryan Lindgren, and Hank Kempf's signing rights to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Calvin de Haan, Juuso Parssinen, a 2025 second-round pick, and a 2025 fourth-round pick.

With the Rangers not holding a playoff spot and Vesey being a pending unrestricted free agent, he was viewed as one of the Blueshirts' top trade candidates. He also saw his role with the Rangers drop this season, as he was scratched several times. Now, he will provide the Avalanche's bottom six with another experienced option as they prepare for the playoffs.

Vesey, 31, had four goals, six points, and a minus-2 rating in 33 games with the Rangers this season before this trade. This is after he had 13 goals and 26 points in 80 games with the Rangers during the 2023-24 season.

Vesey spent the 2021-22 season as a member of the Devils. In 68 games with the Metropolitan Division squad, he had eight goals, 15 points, and 85 hits.
