This Devils forward is starting to get things back on track.

The New Jersey Devils have hit a rough patch lately, losing each of their last four games. This includes a tough 3-2 loss to the rebuilding San Jose Sharks in their last contest on Jan. 4.

While the Devils have cooled off as of late, forward Paul Cotter is beginning to turn things around after a disastrous cold streak. After posting just one point in 18 games before the Devils' current losing streak, he has two goals over his last four games. This is undoubtedly a step in the right direction for the 25-year-old forward.

Before going ice-cold for the Devils, Cotter showed he has the potential to provide solid secondary scoring when playing at his best. In his first 19 games this season, he had seven goals and 12 points. This included four goals and an assist in his first four contests of the season.

Cotter will now look to build on his solid current stretch of play from here. If he continues to chip in offensively while also providing plenty of grit, it will only make the Devils a more difficult team to go up against.

In 42 games this season, Cotter has nine goals, 15 points, 37 penalty minutes, and 143 hits.
